The range depends on the property and the agent.
Photography, floorplan and drone footage sit at $600 to $800 + GST for most listings. Styling runs from $2,000 + GST for a partial dress to $6,000 + GST for a full furniture package on a larger home. The campaign line covers the online listing, signboard and printed material, and moves with the system upgrades an agent recommends.
These three items add up to $3,600 to $10,800 + GST. Agent commission is not part of that total. It is a separate percentage of the sale price, charged on settlement.
Commission has no fixed rate in Queensland.
Queensland deregulated real estate commission in 2015. There is no fixed or maximum rate. Most agents charge 2.5% to 3% + GST of the sale price, and the rate is open to negotiation.
On an $800,000 sale, 2.75% + GST comes to about $24,200.
